Kermit the Frog
Kermit's Poem (by Seeker)
Kermit really loves it, when people stop on by
Its great to make them happy, or be there when they cry
Its always good to have some fun, and share your feelings too
This site is meant for everyone, and everyone is you!
Kermit the Frog has his own unique story. Some fifty years ago, when the creator
of the Muppets, Jim Henson, was a kid at Leland Elementary School, he used to
play and roam around Mississippi’s Deer Creek with his friend, and together
they used to catch and listen to the bullfrogs along his journey. His friend’s
name? Kermit Scott.
Kermit Scott later became a professor of philosophy at Purdue and when asked if
he liked to be immortalized as a frog, Scott replied “I’m flattered.
My grandchildren certainly like it a lot. They get a big kick out of it….
I can think of lot worse things I could be associated with.”
We certainly think there is nothing better than being associated with the famous
frog that sings songs that make us think not just about life…but about rainbows…and
of the greatness of ‘bein green...
Hat’s off to you Kermit!
Kermit and his Creator
Who is the creator behind the magic of the Muppets? Jim Henson was an artistic
genius. He invented "Muppets" by mixing marionettes and puppets. The
Muppeteers were below the camera so they could move more freely. Jim Henson was
a great man to children and parents alike. Jim was a caring man, he once stated,
"I believe in taking a positive attitude toward the world, toward people,
toward my work. I think I'm here for a purpose. I think it's very likely that
we all are, but I'm only sure about myself. I try to tune myself in to whatever
it is that I'm supposed to be, and I try to think to myself as a part of all of
